AARAA Infrastructure Commences 140.6 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Project in Karnataka

AARAA Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. is proud to announce the formal commencement of our utility-scale 140.6 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project in Karnataka. The project kick-off was celebrated with a traditional Bhoomi Pooja ceremony on July 31, 2026.

Attended by key project stakeholders, local leaders, and AARAA's site engineering team, the ceremony marks a major milestone in AARAA's rapidly expanding clean energy infrastructure portfolio. The construction site is situated in Hulikunte Taluk within the Vijayanagar District of Karnataka.

Technical Project Scope & Deliverables

AARAA Infrastructure's general contracting scope includes comprehensive structural, electrical, and foundation installations. Key project scope deliverables are:

  • MMS Pile Installation & Concreting: Precision pile drilling, casting, and structural concreting for solar arrays.
  • Module Mounting Structures (MMS): Secure steel column alignment and mounting support frames.
  • AC and DC Cabling: Power evacuation cable trench excavation, underground laying, and connection works.
  • Equipment Foundations: Heavy civil foundations for 8.8 MW IDT (Inverter Duty Transformers), Central Inverter Stations, ICOG, Auxiliaries, and Burn Oil Tanks (BOT).

Harnessing Hybrid Evacuation Systems

The hybrid wind-solar project comprises a total capacity of 140.6 MW (composed of 70.2 MW Wind and 70.4 MW Solar). To maintain grid stability and comply with regional transmission regulations, the evacuation capacity is restricted to 70 MW.

By combining wind and solar power generation, the site will deliver a highly consistent power output, offsetting the intermittency of single-source systems and strengthening India's green grid transition.
